A wet processed Arabica from a small estate located high on the slopes of an active volcano in Western Sumatra. We hunted for this estate for several days, as it does not actively sell its green beans to local roasters.
The bean is roasted just before the second crack. The earthiness found in our other Sumatrans is not evident in this bean, due to the preparation at estate. However other wonderful qualities emerge. Hints of almond and after taste of ripe grapes and port.
